Improper sales method

Hello,

I am Samson residing in Bangalore. Over the past year, I had visited few pharmacies for purchase of some different medicines at different times. At all cases, I have seen a new trend to have set in within them altogether. Doctors prescribe a course of medication such as for 7 days or 14 days and depending on the number of times a day the medicine needs to be taken, the total number of tablets may not always be a multiple of 10. Earlier days, they used to provide us with our requirement of the number of tablets, i.e., as per the prescription. Unfortunately, these days, almost all pharmacies throughout bangalore, or even other places which I am not aware of, including the cash pharmacy say a statement "we don't cut the strips" and forcing the consumers to either buy additional tablets than required or buy a lesser quantity and not fulfiling the medication/prescription requirement. I wonder why such a manner is employed when it is not that they are without any profit from sales. If I buy 15 tablets, another individual/consumer may requirement 15 or so and the remaining 5 could be given to that person. I really dont see any reason for these to behave this way, moreover for medical reasons. Furthermore, initially I felt this to be only with selected medications, but now it more seems to be for all the medications, except a few commercially selling medications like crocin and other basic medications. Kindly, take necessary steps and help the citizens to avail proper benefits in society, especially when it is a matter of medical needs and necessities and make public too aware to not oblige to such things and encourage them. I am sure they do profit enough from pharmaceutical companies and they do not need to be showing this sort of unreasonable attitude towards consumers. It is very much like they do not regard the doctors' prescriptions. Awaiting proper action. Thank you.
