Absence of basic facilities in No.747A Visakhapatnam Hyderabad special train

My daughter Ms. Supriya Choudary, had gone to Hyderabad from Visakhapatnam on 31-10 on Train No.747A, Visakhapatnam-Hyderabad special train, in S-3, seat/berth No.1. The Railway station authorities have not made any oral/display announcement with the details of platform number on which the train stands though such announcements are made in respect of other trains.. The train started from Vizag almost 20 minutes late and reached Secunderabad around 11.00 AM on 01-11 while its right arrival time was 08-30 AM. The moment I entered the bogie with my daughter, I found the compartment stinking horribly. It appears that the compartments were not properly washed, cleaned and dried. All the seats were found very wet. Rats are freely moving around in the train. The most deplorable thing is that the concerned Railway staff at Visakhapatnam have not filled water in the train and the water was not even filled at any station enroute as a result there was no water in toilets through out the journey. The passengers have suffered untold misery. Strict disciplinary action should be taken against the staff concerned at Visakhapatnam for wanton dereliction of duties, for being responsible for the inconvenience suffered by passengers due to the lack of water in bogies. Special trains should not be operated for the mere purpose of earning extra revenues. The passengers traveling in Special Trains are as special to the Indian Railways as any other passengers traveling on other trains of Indian Railways.

An urgent and stringent action may please be taken against the concerned.
