ICICi bank Lien the amount

Settlement dues

i had made settlment thru phone of 20000 against around 40000 oustanding amount and also made payment of installment of 15, 000 which is done thru phone given to the collecting person who came to my house and spoke with a person who has told to pay the amount and pay the remaining amount after you get the zero balance. but the amount is not reflected in my accounts neither i received any messge of zero balance. now the icici bank has put 43000 in lien saying that it was holded due to the card payment. due to this my housing loan cheques are bounced. Please suggest me what to do as i am in a helpless situation.

i had done in mid of march-09 but stil i have not recd settlement letter but getting call for icici bank person for debit, i had told them give me letter i will pay you rest of settlemnt amount but no one had come to me with letter.

now i called up icici customer care about this matter they told me that i was given harsh answers by them as i requested them that i am not in india to come and speak with you. i have been requesting them since one year for the settlement but no one has turned up and are charged me interst charges and additional charges

Please suggest me how should i move ahead.
