Educational CDs with offer of Tupperware Lunch box plus
Ordered consignment not received

The order was placed on June 16. After several mails of reminders after the lapse of promised 3-4 weeks, I received a reply dated August 8 wherein the 'subject' showed order No. MITBCWEB=1676412 but down below in the text it was mentioned that the order No. is 0GA080029133.

Today when the VPP was received I made the payment of Rs.734 to the postman and collected the parcel only to realise that IT CONTAINS FOUR BOOKS about which some letter came from you but I HAD NOT PLACED ANY ORDER.

When I contacted the number given in the mail (attached below)

I was TOLD RUDELY BY A LADY THAT THIS IS A PROMOTIONAL OFFER AND I SHOULD NOT HAVE ACCEPTED THE PACKAGE IF I WAS NOT INTERESTED. HOW WAS I TO KNOW WHAT IS THE CONTENT UNLESS I ACCEPT THE PARCEL AS I WAS EXPECTING TO RECEIVE ONE FROM YOU ANYWAY.

WHEN I ASKED HER ABOUT WHAT TO DO NEXT, SHE SUGGESTS THAT I SEND BACK THE CONSIGNMENT AND WAIT FOR THE REFUND. This would mean not only would I pay for the courier charges (having already paid 100 34 over and above the cost) but also have to RELY ON THE GOODWILL OF POWERS THAT BE WHO WILL DECIDE IF I CAN GET A REFUND? When I pointed out this to that "VERY HELPFUL' lady she simply disconnected th phone.

What do I do next? Get loaded with four books which I have already read (some ages back - like Sidney Sheldon's) or hope that someone out there is sincerely concerned about the problem of the customer and offers a solution.

I am based in Mumbai and if I have to return the package it should be to your Mumbai branch.
