Short Supply and Defective Material Supplied

Dear Sir,

I recently purchased some CDs, VCDs and DVDs from TRUE MART, Block No.: 4, Emerald Plaza, Hiranandani Meadows, Thane – 400602. The billed me against their Bill # 0010032495 dated 16-12. The CD under their Item # 00017645 for Rs.149.00 and VCD under Item # 00017578 for Rs. 290.00 are under serious problem. The CD had only 1 disc instead of 2 discs and the VCD is virtually very poor quality. They have kept this on their shelves for sale. They have given a Phone # 022-32414141 on the face of their bill but this number seems to be not functional. These were in packed condition and unopened.

Is it possible for the Consumer Guidance Society to warn such so-called large malls to refrain for such activities and be more responsible towards customer’s interest and the true society at large?
