Irregularities in the execution of APDRP scheme and Transmission Sub-Station package - BY AREVA T&D INDIA LIMITED

Dear Sir/Madam,

With ref to the above, please be informed that M/s. Areva T&D India Ltd is executing APDRP (In Dhanbad Circle) and Package A, B & C of transmission in Dlatonganj, Japla, Kanke, and other places in JSEB.

In this connection, it is to inform that the Steel Tubular poles used in the above APDRP job were rejected during the inspection. Inspite of the rejection, the Company had used the rejected -By CE (Insp)- pipes in the Dhanbad Circle. Also, please note that these pipes were not procured from the Approved vendor, as per the approved Vender list of the Tender documents. This is clearly a voilation of the agreement /Contract and aganist the business ethicks of the Company.(Being executed from the company's Eastern Regional office, Kolkata).

They might be doing the same practice at other Transmission job sites also.

You will appreciate that crores of rupees is being spent on these projects for quality Power for the people of Jharkhand. But the executing Agency (AREVA) is misusing their position and cheating JSEB by way of using sub standard materials.

Request you to forward this to the Vigilance Department and take necessary action in this regard.

If required, I shall be glad to submit the Rejection Note sheet copy.

Hope you will understand the gravity of the matter and take immediate corrective action aganist the Company and its regional Head (Kolkata) before things go out of control.

If no action is taken, then I will be forced to semd my complaint to PFC /REC- The Funding agency.
