I HAD PURCHASED AN INVERTER (SUKAM) CUM BATTERY (EXIDE) ON JUNE FROM STEEL HOUSE, HRIDYPUR, 24 PGNS (N). SINCE JULY THE SYSTEM DID NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. AS SUCH I REGISTERED A COMPLAINT WITH THE DEALER STEEL HOUSE. ENGINEER FOR THE INVERTER COMPANY (SUKAM), VISITED AND REPORTED A BATTERY PROBLEM. THE DEALER WAS INFORMED ACCORDINGLY. REPEATED REMINDERS REASULTED IN ANOTHER ENGINEER FROM SUKAM COMPANY AND AGAIN BATTERY PROBLEM WAS REPORTED. NO PERSON FROM THE BATTERY CO.(EXIDE) VISITED TO CHECK THE PRODUCT ALTHOUGH WITHIN WARRANTY PERIOD. IN DECEMBER THE WARRANTY LAPSED AND THE DEALER PLEADED HELPLESS NESS. I WAS UNDER THE NOTION THAT AS THE PRODUCT FAULT WAS REPORTED LONG BEFORE THE WARRANTY PERIOD LAPSED, THE COMPANY WOULD TAKE ACTIONS. I COULD NOT CONTACT THE EXIDE COMPANY DIRECTELY, BELIEVING THAT THE DEALER WOULD TAKE ACTION. BUT I WAS WRONGED. KINDLY ASSIST.
