Misplaced My Courier of Important Documents

I have been following up for my courier with First Flight Courier Ltd which was dispatched from Bhopal date (15 January), contaning important documents & my personal certificates.
The courier has been missing from their end & i haven't received it till date. After several follow up with the courier company they have told that the courier has been lost in transit. How can one trust these companies for our personal documents to be delivered at our doorstep.
