Excessive charges on debit card

I brought vegetables worth Rs 70 from Fresh and Naturals, Banishankari 3rd stage. For that i swapped debit card (HDFC Debitcard). They charged Rs100 extra on debit card for vegetables Rs70. As of i know there is no extra charge on Retail shop when you swipe your debit/credit card. I need to know is there any extra charge they should take from the customer in case of buying vegetables from Retail shop.
