Wrong delivery of shipment

On 12th may i sent two couriers containing dress materials from hyderabad to kolkata. the representatives at Gati (shyamlal office) assured me that the shipment would be delivered by 14 th may. on 15th may none of my recipients had recieved the couriers. i checked the shipment online using the shipment tracking service and it showed that on 14th may both couriers had been delivered to one R. Das. however, my shipments were addressed to Ms. kaveri Biswas and MS. Riya Bhattacharya. there was no mention of an R. Das. the supposed R. Das signed for the shipment gave his contact no as 22177522 which incidentally happens to be the contact number of Riya Bhattacharya, something which he could have easily copied from the courier packet where the numbers of the sender as well as recipient have to be mentioned. the people of gati have no idea where my shipment is and i have lost around Rs. 2000 on the entire deal. i only hope i am well compensated for this.
