Non acceptance of on account payment

Sir,

I had taken mortagage loan from GE Money Financial in the year 2005 and it was for shorter tenure. Due to hike in interest rates, the tenure was increased.

No I want to clear major chunk of loan with on account payment with an intention to clear the balance within a month. But they are telephonically informing me that they are not accepting on account payments. This is really rediculas and unfair. No financing company in India does this.

I seek your guidence in bringing such companies on record so that others can take lesson from this and be alert for unfair trade practices.
