Laying of ROAD DIVIDER

To,
The Speak Out Column,
The Deccan Chronicle,
# 36, S.D. Road,
Secunderabad – 500003,
Andhra Pradesh.
Dear Sir,
We the Residents of Bahadurpura, Kishan Bagh, Ram Bagh, Attapur, Asad Baba Nagar, Nandi Muslai Guda, Konda Reddy Guda, Mir Mahmood Ki Pahadi, Sikh Chawani, Nou Number,
Mushk Mahal Residential Complex & adjoining areas have proposed a ROAD DIVIDER from BAHADUPURA CROSS ROADS to KISHAN BAGH CROSS ROADS to the authorities concerned on numerous platforms and Occasions,
As the road has become one of the busiest roads of the
Old city, Due to its connectivity to the three of cities
Major landmarks (i.e.) GOLCONDA FORT, ZOO PARK & PVN RAO Express Way, (Which Connects the city to the New International Airport coming up @ Shamshabad)
As such all the tourist buses pass through this route
everyday & as well various school vans/buses, which
Choke the road & cause hindrances to themselves & to
every commuter of this road especially in rush hours like mornings & evenings,
This Grievance was brought to the Kind notice of the
Additional Commissioner (projects) Mr. Dhanunjay
Reddy through these Columns of Deccan Chronicle,
as all the Road Widening process such as:
1) Removing of all the electric poles which are
Obstructions on the stretch, 2) Shifting of
Encroachments etc, 3) And Carpeting of the entire
Route has been almost carried out.
As per instruction of the then Additional Commissioner, This Very grievance has been registered with the G.H.M.C. Web site http://ghmc.gov.in/grv/grievance_history.asp vide its registration # 06COM1908 Dated:20/03
The promise of the Additional Commissioner that with in a span of 3 months the much needed Road Divider will be laid is just a white lie & shows that how our government administration functions!
It seems that Officials are also going the
Politician’s way by making false promises that it will
be done at the earliest, but in ground reality almost 2 years have gone by but nothing has been done or looked in to seriously of the Problems faced by the tax paying residents of this area.
If the ROAD DIVIDER is laid then the traffic passing
from both sides will be automatically streamlined
Particularly at KISHAN BAGH CROSS ROADS,
Which is the hell of traffic jams & nightmares for two
wheel commuters.
I hope that this time around the officials will act
Positively & initiate action for laying of much needed
Road divider of at least 2 to 3 feet’s height to
Facilitate the smooth movement of traffic.
As our Honorable Chief Minister has promised a 200crore package for the development of the Old City!
And As well I request the concerned authorities in APSRTC Rajendrangar depot to start Metro bus service on the 94U Bus Route as this has become very essential during peak hours as all the buses on this route are jam packed.
