Cheated by Global Direct

An execute (Mr. Nilesh Samant) claiming to be from Vodafone had come to our home in the month of January. He offered to change the plan of my mobile to a corporate plan and collected my documents for the same. He also said we will convert my wife's prepaid connection to a post paid connection. He collected my wife's documents for the same. He also collected Rs599.00 as charges and gave us a joint bill in my name. It was then that we realized he was from Global Direct and not from Vodafone.

Later we got a call from Vodafone, saying that my wife's number is going to be converted to a post paid in my name, I kept that call on hold and spoke to the Mr. Samant regarding the same for which he asked me to go ahead since my wife's connection is going to be part of my corporate plan that's how it works. He assured that after the first bill comes he will get the billing done in my wife's name.

When we received the first bill, I gave Mr. Samant a call to update him about the same, and he replied saying he can't do anything now and its our job to go to a Vodafone store and get it changed. Repeated calls to Global Direct, Mr. Samant and his boss (some absconding character) never got heard. The executives at Global Direct were completely ignorant of my pleas to help me out. They always refused to transfer the call to their boss. Mr. Samant also stopped picking my calls and even if he picked it up he would give it some Pan shop walla or richshaw driver who spoke very rudely in a rustic tone. My wife's mobile phone is currently in my name (I have given the documents for changing it I am not sure if its done.)

My calls to Vodafone call center and Vodafone store were also futile, since they said its Global Direct and not their responsibilities.

I feel cheated by Mr. Samant and find his and Global Direct's actions as completely unprofessional and irresponsible. Currently all I want is Global Direct or Vodafone to return my wife's documents and photographs to me as I don't trust Mr. Samant or Global Direct. I feel this documents are in the wrong hands and they could misuse it.
