I live in Atlanta, USA and subscribed to yupptv on Sept12'09. I wanted to try this website first, instead of using my credit card to be charged every month on a recurring basis. So, I selected the non-recurring option with the help of Priya from yupptv on chat line. Unfortunately, chat is the only available way to communicate with yupptv though there is a toll free number (1866-663-7557) that always gives a message that the box is full.

Priya assured and guided me that my credit card will not be charged for additional months. I even confirmed and documented all this information through chat. Despite all this, yupptv charged $11.99 in October'09. I am fed up with them in sending several emails and they still didn't refund the money. I am totally disappointed by the way Globaltakeoff owned yupptv charged my credit card without my authorization.

On the same day, I contacted yupptv and had a chat with Alisha. She assured me that the credit will be posted back to my account on October3rd'09 and asked me to contact on October 03'09. When I asked for a supervisor, someone named Syed also chatted from the same Alisha chat. I don't know whether Alisha and Syed are same or different.

When I contacted yesterday (October3rd'09), Kerry was online. He said my account doesn’t show any amount. I called my credit card company and they said the credit was not yet posted. I contacted again today (Oct0409) and Kerry was online. He said today is holiday and contact on Monday. I am not sure why your yupptv staff keep on telling different stories and why they don't stick to their words. I do not understand why Indians (or any one) cheat Indians. It is shame to all our Indians.

I sincerely request fellow Indian in not subscribing to yupptv. I do not want they should be cheated like me in getting ripped off and their card is charged without their authorization. I will let you know, if I am ever successful in getting through this dispure. I do not know whether the consumer complaints organization will take any action.
