Supply of lower cost lower capacity Refrigerator during an exchange offer

Godrej & Boyce Mfg.Co. Ltd had an door to door campage of an exchange offer for Refrigerator, air conditioner and microwave.

I booked for GFE 32DY (305 ltr) refrigerator, one AC and one microwave.

Mr. R.N.Chatterjee, Salesman code 1734 visited with another person for this deal.

One evening we received a refrigerator by truck WB29-7114.We gave our Votas rerigerator and paid them (Rs 17600 =00 cash) Total price was Rs 23500=00. But in exchange cost was told Rs18100=00. A cheeque was handed over to them of Rs 500=00 during booking. Another two items were booked as mentioned above along with the refrigerator. These two items we plan to take later.

Unfortunately it was found after few days that the we have been given alower capacity lower cost freeze.

Immediately Mr. Chatterjee was informed. He assured for the replacement but remain silent after that.

After few days I spoken to Mr. Bhargab Chatterjee (Manager conract Sales)- seems to be from Kolkata.

Initially he refused to accept the fault and ultimately he informed that only Rs 1900=00 they plan to return and refused to change my refrigerator. I didn't agree to his proposal and asked for the booked capacity set.

No one contacted after that and within a few days received an enevelope through a courier.

Surprisingly in the envelope I found two cheques which I handed over to the salesman (another gentleman) booking amount of AC & microwave.(each of Rs 500=00).
