This has ref to the Godrej refrigerator bought by me on the 24/07. The details of the product is a given below

Appliance No - RF02489-00000891 GREY

The product is in warranty for five years upto 19/07. The details of the same are

On 12/08 the refrigerator malfunctioned and the complaint was lodged with the company on the 14/08. The docket no issued was 251064. An engg attended the complaint on the same day but could not resolve the issue. He mentioned that the there was a issue with the compressor and said that the same would need to be replaced. Till date there has been resolution despite numerous followups. Needless to say I am extremely inconvenienced with the same not available for almost two weeks. Perishables amounting to Rs. 1000 have been wasted due to the same. The product has been having regular complaints as mentioned below :

1. 17/05/05 - PCB sensor replaced but could repair the freezer door

2. 14/6/05 - The freezer door complaint was attempted but could not resolve the same

3. 26/6/05 - Again PCB sensor replaced but door problem not unresolved

4. 14/8/08 - Compressor issue fridge completely down as mentioned above

The door issue still remains unresolved with the door of the freezer opening on its own. The service given for the product has been pathetic with the service personnel having to be followed at all times and not honouring their commitments despite several followups.

The product had been bought from Vijay Sales showroom in Kandivali. We had complained for the referigator with them on the 21/08/08.

We plan to approach the consumer court to help us in replacing the faulty product.
