Poor eMO Facilities, No reply to Complaint Made earlie

Dear Sir,

This is to bring to your kind notice the problems being faced at GPO, Sector 17, Chandigarh due to newly introduced “eMO” facility.

I wanted to send a MO to Uttam Nagar (New Delhi-110059) which your system did not accept, having been made to come 4 times again and again, finally the MO was booked on 18 Sept 09, PNR No091459090918002560.

The eMO was booked at New Delhi G.P.O. 110001 and I was informed by the booking clerk who was helpful, that it would be diverted to the destination by GPO.New Delhi.

However my point still remains that, since the system is not fully established, the staff should not return the customers and ask them to go to other sectors having smaller post offices with manual system and accept their shortcoming. Two persons from Bihar standing ahead of me in the queue were advised likewise.

I wanted to write the same point in the suggestion book at the post office and contacted the two lady Assistant Post Masters, who kept diverting me to other officials but did not make the Suggestion-Book available.

It is requested that matter be looked into and dual system be kept in use for addresses without Pin Code Numbers or in case of system failure.

The staff at GPO Chandigarh may be instructed not to avoid giving the Suggestion Book on Demand, which is a Customer’s Right.

A reply indicating the action taken in the matter shall be appreciated please.
