Misuse of account

I have a pre-paid account with Hathway Broadband and using it for last three years. The service was satisfactory. In Feb 08, all of a sudden, my connection got disconnected. On enquiry I was informed I have exceeded the usage limit. On further enquiry I got the details of usage from them, to my surprise, it mentioned that I had used internet for more than 200 Mb of transfer of data on 6 days, which I never used. Shockingly, it also mentioned that I had used internet on a particular day when I didnot switch on the computer. The only answer I got from them is thier systems are secured and nothing is wrong at their end. As per them it was my computer got hacked / or I have used the internet and was lying. There was no answer from them for my question how someone can hack my computer when it is not switched on.

Beware. Someone in the company could be misusing your interent connection.
