Noise in residential Area

I am a resident of Upnagar area in Nasik, Maharashtra. We are facing a very big problem regarding noise pollution. Recently there has been a Marraige lawns developed in our area. Since then we are facing lots of noise problems practically every day. The noise from bands etc is unbearable. Students cannot concentrate, aged people and babies are suffering, and all the people are having so many problems beacuse of it. I am one of the closest residents, i cant even hear a person talking next to me when noise is on. We are in a purely residential area. I want to know what can be done to stop or atleast decrease noise levels. The local police and politicians favor the lawn owners for undisclosed reasons. It would be a great help if anyone can help or even advise as to what should we do.
