Faulty CMOS battery

Hi,

My name is Nikil Kanchan. I bought an HCL laptop in July from Chroma Electronics, Malad, Mumbai. The laptop worked fine for a while, and then after about 3 months in October, the laptop started causing problems. It showed a CMOS battery low warning. On going to the service centre they said that the CMOS battery had moved a little so they fixed it and returned it to me the next day. It worked fine after that. Again in the end of December the same problem arose and I went back. They said that earlier they used to only remove, wipe and place the CMOS battery back, but now they have found a permanent solution and so the problem will not arise again. Now again within not even a month of rectification the same problem arises.

I would jus like to say that I have bought the laptop with great amount of financial risk just to support my carrer and personal needs and the reason I chose HCL was because I thought they were a BRAND name. But sorry to say, HCL aint a brand they are just wannabe's. I would anyday from now on go for a HP or Sony laptop even if it means shelling out more money.

Please help me if you can, I am looking for a replacemnent of my laptop from HCL.
