Battery - Charging

I bought the laptop in Aug 07. It started giving battery related problems from Mar 08. that is - 1. The computer switches off suddenly and the battery indicator light goes out even when it is connected to the charger. 2. If the computer shakes/moves slightly, the battery indicator light goes off and the laptop turns off. I took it to the HCL service centre at Guntur and asked them to check it. They kept it for two days saying it needs observation (it was under 1 yr warranty then) and returned it saying no problem. And the suggestion given was if it goes off remove the battery and put it back again. It worked for a couple of months and again developed the same problem. Even if I remove the battery and put it back, it doesn't power up. I called Hyd service centre for help and they said they cannot register the problem as it is outside warranty period. I visited guntur service centre several times and each time they said that their engineer is away on site and cannot accept it till he returns saying that the laptop is outside warranty. I said I was willing to pay for the service. They do not seem to understand. What kind of complaint can i lodge against the service centre as they do not even give what they said in writing? Is the responsibility of HCL restricted to warranty covered products only or do they service products outside warranty? If they cannot be customer friendly and service oriented, why should they try to market their products? What can I do? How do I get my system repaired? The service centre at hyderabad held me 12 min on line to say that they will not register complaints for out of warranty products. Why should they waste my call time to say this? pls do some thing.
