I used the HDFC credit card last in the month of January at the Changi Airport in Singapore.

I used the Credit card overlimit by Rs 1872.92/- ie my credit limit was Rs 15000/-.i made a full payment of Rs 16872.92 /-

in one cheque itself. I calle dthe bank and asked them to close my account, which from their side havent done still. AND now they expect me to make a payment of Rs 6817/- as the late fee charges and overdue etc.

My question is if i had asked them to close my account why didnt they do so? and now insisting me to make a payment.

I last spoke to Mr Iqbal Sheikh (manager at HDFC LEGAL DEPARTMENT) and Ms Hetal (Executive HDFC LEGAL DEPARTMENT)
