Exorbitant charges by blackmailing of HDFC bank

My name is ramanathan and my personal loan no 1806523 maintained at aminjikarai, chennai branch.

Suddenly last week one lady called me and informed me that one EMI returned during June and it is pending. Late payment charges and cheque returned charges works out to Rs.1200. So she asked me to clear Rs.3801 immediately other wise my name will be pending in sibil defaulters list.

When i asked them why they kept quiet when subsequent EMIs paid thro bank and no one intimated abt this for the past 15 months.

She accepted that it is Banks mistake but they cant do anything. So unless i make the payment, they will not take steps to remove my name list from sibil.

she also told that unless i clear this amount immediately, i cant take any housing loand and other loans from any financial institution.

To get rid all of these, i paid Rs.3801 immediately.

So i request you to steps to refund my additional amount paid and also some compensation for my mental agony and torture for the actions of the bank.
