VISA Card for new Salary Account

Hi Folks,

Part1

I had created a regular HDFC Savings account long time ago. I needed VISA Card for my transactions. I was told I would be given it by default. When I checked the package, I was given a MasterCard. When I got back to the representative, he told he will do necessary to get the VISA Card without charge. Later he absconded and I had to pay Rs. 100/- for VISA Card.

Part2

Question is why was the charge not intimated during the account creation.

This is clear cut cheating.

We Indians need to be against such cheating. So I put this up here.

HDFC - You think you can cheat any Indian is it... If you really want to earn, why don't you go rob other banks instead. Don't spoil India's business ethics. Be graceful to the motherland which gives you food but not cheat.
