Bill of fradulent transactions although card was closed

Hi

I had called HDFC 10 months before to close the card. After that i had received no bills till last month (NOV) and sudddenly received a bill this month. I got shocked how did HDFC sent a bill for closed card. Bill has two transactions of month Aug when i was not in Mumbai. I am not sure how, whcen i have already closed and broken the card.

When i kept the complain HDFC said, you are late because this bill is of Aug. and we can not find any information about these transactions after 60 days. Absolutely trapped.

Because i havent received a bill and i was under impression that card is closed. Suddenly when i have received a bill of Aug in the month of Nov, already past 60 days.

As we dont have any proof/receipt of our request of closing the card.
