Dear Sir / Mem,

I Rakesh Kumar, Age 27 Yrs, residing at H. No. 48, Rampuri, Kalkaji, New Delhi-110019. I have credit card account with HDFC Bank (Credit Card No. 5176521004258010).

I got credit card bill amount Rs. 872.00 on date 9th Jan. 08 (Due date will be 23 rd Jan 08). Due to some financial crieses I was not able to pay the bill on due date, I dropped cheque amounting Rs. 872.00 (deutsce bank) on 26 th Jan.

I am regularly paying my bills in full every month before due dates, perhaps it is the first time that I was not able to pay before due date. For this late payment of Rs. 872.00, bank imposed late fee of Rs.350.00 plus Rs.42.00 sevice charges. Is these charges are reasonable on the amount of Rs. 872.00.

Bank should go through the previous track record of the customer in these type of matters.

I request you to please have a look on above issue and take the necessary actions as early as possible.

I also request to HDFC Bank to deduct the extra amount that is Rs 392.00 charges on me due to delay in Payment, considering my previous track record.
