HDFC Credit Card
Misguided by recovery person

Hi, HDFC had provided me Credit card in year 05, i had an outstanding of around 12 thousand. they called me saying that pay the amount in installments, i paid 2 cheques of 4k each. nobody turned after that . i called HDFC they said that card has been cancelled now . and we wont be able to issue another card. I was not ware of it and now its effecting my credit. Please suggest what can be done for this, i appreciate an quick response on this, thanks
