HDFC CREDIT CARDS
Didnt issue credit card

Hi,

I keep receiving credit card offers on my cell phone and even on my company extension. One such call one day was from HDFC for Women's Gold card. I was interested and hence applied for the same. At the time of application they tell us that it will take 3-5 working days. But this is never the case. An agent had come to my office and collected the signed application form. I had asked the agent to sign on my copy of the application form and also asked him to write down his mobile number. After that I started receiving calls for submitting income proof and address proof, which I did. I started receiving verification calls, and persons came to verify my address. The verification agent came down to my house and called me, he then knocked on my door and asked my mother to talk to me!!

After all this and a month of waiting I still didnt receive my credit card. Many weeks after I first applied for the card, I again got a call asking me if I wanted to apply for the Women's Gold card. When I told the person that I had already applied, they checked their systems and told me that they never received my application form. I then called the agent who had collected the application from me, and found out that the number he gave me is not valid.

Imagine my horror, some body has full knowledge of my income, my house, the people living in it and the timings when iam not available at home. HDFC bank has put me and my family at such a big risk. How can I ever trust them or for that matter any bank. How can they outsource their processes without even verifying the kind of people who are collecting information from their clients. Whom should I blame to be accountable for if anything untoward happens?

If any body reading this is from such banks or is a higher authority who can do something to change such practices please act on this complaint.
