HDFC Home improvement Loan
Refusal of application

I had applied for a loan of Rs. 6 Lac. All the documents were submitted to HDFC more than 15 days back. Now they have fowllowing STRANGE reasons to refuse the loan:

1. My company is not very well known.

2. There wa a dispute about my credit card payments and transaction in 2006.

I am at loss that how did HDFC issue a Credit Card in my name. THey should have refused the issue late last year. Since the matter was settled lonf back and thats why, they did not, rightfully so, refuse the issunce of the card.

I have never defaulted on payments ever but for this one where there was a difference in the amount reaised and amount to be paid. After several deliberations with the concerned abank, the full and final settlement was done in 2006.

I want to know, is this O.K. for them to give the reason which was settled in 2006 and without enquiry they got the list from CIBIL, concerned authority report to refuse the loan amount of Rs. 5, 00, 000/-
