Extra Foreclosure Charges

My name is Nitin Anand; I am a customer of HDFC - Home Loans Account No. 581578861. I would like to transfer my loan from HDFC to another bank with lower interest rates. To proceed further i have requested for a foreclosure letter from HDFC. When i went to HDFC they say 3% foreclosure charges will levied on outstanding amount. In addition to that 12.36% Service Tax.

But I called HDFC customer care on 15th Feb; it was told to me that I have to pay only 2% foreclosure charges.

I have also written a mail to HDFC earlier for a closer letter, I have not received any response from HDFC.

Also, they will provide me foreclosure letter in 1 week's time. But when I called in the customer Care they say it will be given to you in 1 day’s time.

I really don’t understand why there is so much of foul play going in HDFC. One person says something and another person says something.

I am really worried, how can I bear a loss of 1% foreclosure Charges, 3% of 34 Lacs is a very huge amount.

CAN ANYBODY HELP ME IN HDFC TO WAIVE OFF THESE EXTRA CHARGES?

I really don’t find any support from HDFC.

DON’T EVER TAKE HOME LOAN from HDFC.
