Net transfer did not take place in spite of confirmation advice

On 02.07.09 I transferred an amount of Rs.22671.93 for paying my CITIBANK credit card balance. I also received the confirmation advice for this transaction.

On 23.07 09 I received next credit card statement and I came to know the on 02.07.09 the transaction did not take place and CITYBank has added Rs.2475.93 towards intrest, late fee, Ser.tax. and over due charges which I have to pay for the fault on HDFC bank.

It is therefor requested to HDFC bank to compensate for this loss.
