I had made a reservation by paying an amount of 6380/- for hotel Sea Princess at Dapoli from 30th April to 3rd may, there was a mistake in the reservation voucher Nivalink which had my bookings from 1st May to 3rd May. I was to cancel the booking due to some sudden personal commitments on Sunday, I was refused a refund of the amount and hence I decided to go to Dapoli for two days, this was intimated to the owner (a very rude Talati and an even ruder Mrs. Talati, wonder how he manages to run the place) and the manager. On the 30th when we reached the hotel at about 7 in the evening we informed this to the manager that we will leave on 2nd and he was OK with it, on 1st night also when I inquired if I could extend my stay if wanted, he said the room is already booked on 1st and 2nd May.

When leaving on 2nd May he asked me to pay 3180/- as I was booked on 1st and not 30th, when I tried to reason this with him that I had paid for two days and stayed for two days he refused and asked me to call his owner, he refused to call from his land line number and we had to use our mobile phone. the owner was worse, he and his wife were rude to the hilt and when my wife spoke to him she was threatened with police action and said he has connections with police. The manager locked the gate and his people blocked our way. Imagine having paid a huge amount and getting treated like this, he charges half of which I paid to Nivalink, get this confirmed from people staying there or call his hotel for rates.

I have a little daughter and she was hungry and thirsty and we were arguing for two hours from 11.30 in the afternoon till 1.30, they did not care even for a small girl, when I finally agreed to stay, he said I have to pay 5000/- now. All of this did not make any sense to me. If it does please explain that.

All this while when I was calling up Nivalink, there was no help from their side, the only consolation was that the staff was not rude as Talati and gave us a patient hearing. However when I raised a question about Talati asking for Rs.5000/- one of the staff responded by saying I was creating trouble hence he was asking for the amount, this was the most shocking part, instead of convincing the owner she was asking me to pay the amount? I would really like to know the logic behind this.

Ultimately we left the place after paying the amount and he did not even give me a proper receipt at 2 in the afternoon hungry without water and reached late in Mumbai. Consider yourself in my place, 250 kilometers from Mumbai with no none people around and the only connection (Nivalink) not helping and you are with your wife and a small daughter.

Does Nivalink's responsibility end after taking the money? How can they recommend such an hotel to people? How can the Hotel demand such a huge amount? Will he ever get a repeat customer?

People who are going to Harnai/Anjarle beach should never stay at Sea princess owned by Talati. I have the receipts with me to prove my point.
