Sale of duplicate memory card

COMPLAINT against HOTSPOTS RETAILS LTD. H-43, Main Vikas Marg, Lakshmi Nagar, New Delhi-110 092

I purchased Sony Ericsson mobile (model-K530i) from HOTSPOTS RETAILS LTD. H-43, Main Vikas Marg, Lakshmi Nagar, New Delhi-110 092 on 11.7.2008 vide invoice No. 118102181. Shri Ravi (9873916318) was the employee of the shop who sold the mobile to me. Soon after the purchase of the set, I started to having problem with the mobile. Every time it was switched off or any file was transferred to it through USB cable, it asked for formatting the memory card. As a result, all the data on the memory card was lost.

I contacted the shop over phone and they advised me to visit a Sony Ericsson service centre to rectify the problem. I went to Rajendra Place service centre where I was told that the memory card supplied with the set is duplicate and that you have been cheated by the retailer. I again contacted the Hotspots store and on being told the fact that I had been supplied a duplicate memory card, the Hotspot person expressed his inability to replace it.

It may not be out of place to mention that the memory card with K530i model comes packed with the box. It seems that it is the Hotspot men who must have tampered with it and placed a duplicate card in the box.

Now I am requesting you to kindly look into the matter.

I will be thankful if any positive action is taken in this regard.
