Printing on landscape

When printing on landscape documents, there is a fragmented black line along the length of the page which runs about 4mm from the edge on the left hand side of the paper as it comes through. I have uninstalled and re-installed the printer with no correction to the fault. Can you please help me?

I am operating from my computer which is a HP 3760a window vista.
