Non replacement of laptop adapte

My laptop adaptor was not working properly, so I asked the HP service centre to replace it. They replaced only the converter of the adapter. My adapter still takes about 7-8 hrs to full charge the laptop whereas a normal adapter takes only 2 hrs maximum. I contacted the service centre again but now they are not accepting the laptop on the bill as serial number of the adapter is not mentioned on the invoice. But they accepted the adapter last time on the same invoice.(My adapter is in warranty only till July 29)

I submitted a complaint to HP in written, but no reply yet from their side.
