Warranty not given

R/s Sir,

I am a student at DAVIET jalandhar. I had bought a laptop from my college. HP company visited our college and were providing us a laptop with 4 years warranty. But now when we go to the HP service centre at kapurthala chwk, Jalandhar and we request for our warranty card then they say that we will not issue any warranty card for 4 years. They say that if u hav any problem then you can come to us. Now problem is that if we are at anyother place from jalandhar, then we cannot get our laptop repaired from HP service centre in that city. Specially we need to go to jalandhar. So i would like to ask that what is the use of making Service centre everywhere if we need to go to place from where we purchased the product.

So i would like to have a warranty card for 4 years for which they promised so i can get my solution for my laptop for anywhere.
