Eplacement a battery

Hello sir,

i have a laptop of hp pavillion model number is dv6767tx..

my laptop battery is not working properly.. i was given a battery to hp care but they told me that your battery number is not matched to your laptop model.. but how can possible this one.. i have purchased a laptop two months ago and it is in warranty yet.. and how can i know my battery number is matched or not... and how can i check my battery number is original or not... give me a proper reason and tell me what to do for further process..
