HSBC Credit Card
Not recieving final payment

Dear Sir

I has applied for a HSBC credit card in 2001 which I had paid in full and cancelled in April. Now they call me on 27 November and tell me that i have an outstanding of 34000/- on my creditcard when the card was not used from 2004 and the last purchase done is on March as per their records.

They abuse me saying that I had not made the payment and that they will take it up legally and wants me to pay the entire amount. Mr Ashim Roy from their recovery said that they will put it up to the magistrate if I dont pay by 28th November by 2 pm. This is real hassasment. After a settlement they have decreased the amount to 2- and assured me that they would reduce it further.

If it would have been the purchase amount would they have reduced it from 34000 to 22000.Pl help
