Card settlement

I have this credit card form HSBC and due to some financial problems I was not able to do the payments. Howeverdid some minimum payments as the bank kept troubling me with phone calls and sending people at my house.

Now I want to settle this card with whatever cash I ahve. I can pay maximum 50% of the outstanding. The outstanding is 19000 and im ready to pay 10, 000 as that is all I can do. Im going away from india also as im left with no proper job etc. Even after I told all this problem the bank is not cooperating with me for a settlement.

Pls help me in this regard as today i ahve the 10000 which I ahve somehow managed to get from friends. Tomorrow i may not even have this.
