Getting Threatening calls from HSBC for the payment of Credit Card which I have NEVER USED and NEVER RECEIVED

Dear Sir,

My name is Prabhat Asthana I am from Mumbai, I am getting threatening calls form HSBC, from numbers 011-47622716 and 011-47622736, the callers name as told by him is Ravi.

Getting Calls from above said numbers for the payment or settlement of the Credit Card which I NEVER USED, NEVER RECIEVED.

On enquiring from this caller, he told me that this HSBC Credit Card was issued on my name in 2004 and the outstanding amount on the card is Rs. 424725. And the Card Number is 4384599999093759.

On asking about the address on which this card was issued he told me the address that is not known to me.

I asked him to provide me the Statements, Bills and Copy of the Credit Card received receipt, he said, that can not be provided and you will have to pay the amount, He said that He will settle this in Rs. 61000. Why should I pay when I have never used or received this card more over I never knew about this card. Why should I pay for Banks Mistake?

I told him that this card is never used or received by me and I have never used it, this is a FRAUD and someone has got this card issued on my name. I asked him to take necessary legal action against this as this is a clear fraud and crime, and I may suffer for this, as my name is in defaulter list I will not be able to get any Loan if I need it. But he is not ready to listen to me and keep calling me for the payment of this card. He threats me that my name has been sent in defaulters list, and he will send my name in Civil Court. He threats me that they will keep calling me every day and only option is to pay the amount.

When I asked him why the bank didn’t contact me earlier and why you are calling me after 5 years he said the Bank was not having my number. Now my question is how they got my number now. Why they didn’t contacted me earlier. And why I am being harassed where I am not associated with HSBC Bank in any form.

Sir, I request you to please help me in this, need your intervention in this regard to get me out of this situation. I have never used HSBC Credit card neither Received any HSBC credit card; I am victim of this fraud.

Please Help me and guide me what can be done for this.
