I have used my Hutch post paid number 98840 75378 for over 3 years. During that time not only was the service bad due to wrong billing, poor customer support and poor payment facilties at their outlets (credit card machine never seemed to work). I used to have a plan which gave me 100 mins free talk time and 100 text messages free. Atleast once in three months - I would have to call customer service to inform them that I have not received my bill or their billing was wrong. I have got reversals many a time on my number ONLY after speaking to their supervisors.

During one incident when I was at the show room, a representative told me of a new plan that gave me 500 text messages free and 500 mins talk time free. I changed my plan and for the first month they billed me under the plan. However - the next two months my bill was rather high but I paid it and never checked the bill. The third month when I checked my bill I found out that someone had changed my plan to another plan and they were billing me for all my text messages. I spoke to a customer representative by the name of Roland and he assured me to go ahead and pay my bill this time and he will sort things out. I paid my bill, however the next month I got a bigger bill and my plan was not changed. Roland could never be reached. Hence I called their customer support numerous times, explained my situation to many representatives but never got a solution. I told them to cancel the connection.

They did not cancel the connection, just cut the service and continued to send their representatives to harras my family and myself. I refused to pay the bill! They have now sent a legal lawyers notice to me asking me to pay my bill rent for all those months when I never used the phone and an interest on the amount. They are threatening to sue me for me not paying my bill. I plan to file a case against them and sue them for a huge amount due to the defamation of character (harrasment at my doorstep), mental torment and mis representation of a product and service to a customer. I believe they have all my calls recorded which will serve as further proof. I have planned to get a list of all other compalints from fellow people on the net and in my company (believe me there are many).

I am more concerned about my reptuation and the cheap way in which Hutch/Vodafone tries to cheat people, they need to be taught a lesson!
