Hyundai Getz and Exide batteries
Battery life

Hi,

I have been an ardent fan of Hyundai products till now. Off late it has made me think again. I purchased my Hyundai Getz from KUN Hyundai Chennai in September. I have been actively using the vehicle since that time. This week when I started my car, it would not start and had to take the battery (exide) for recharging. To my shock I found out that the cells of the battery were down and could not be recharged (as per my battery mechanic).

Are the batteries made to last only for 2 and a half years? If yes, this is sad. I am not yet done with the hire purchase of the car and I am not in a position to shell out another lumpsum on a new battery. Please advise.
