Education loan

Dear Sir,

2months earlier My sister joined as a student in Kalusalingam Engg., clge. My parents are living in Aruppukottai. And we tried to get educational loan in SBI which is in aruppukottai. But SBI manager told that direct admitted students (without counciling) won't get any loan from SBI. Is it true? If 'yes' means, in other brances some other location people are getting this kind of educationsl loan easily. To get a loan in SBI Kindly give a solution
