This university is offerring one of their course in Accountancy, misnominiclatured as CPA. It is a well know fact that CPA designation is bestowed upon candidates by American Institute of Certified Public Accountant and they are the registered hoders of this designation in USA.

ICFAI University in Tripura etc. of India are misguiding and misrepresenting the prospective students by offering the aforementioned course of CPA and they also claim to have got registered CPA and Certified Public Accountant as Trade Mark in their favour.

I believe it is serious case of infringment on the part of ICFAI University of Reputation earned by and of the rights of American Institute of Certified Public Accountant and it shall be viewed very seriously. The Prospective candidates may mistook the course offerred by ICFAI as CPA offered by AICPA.
