Credite departmenet capturing saving account

Hello,

I am shocked while quoting following complaint.

Last weekend I saw my ICICI saving account blocked for rs 25, 000.

On enquiring I came to know that because I was having some dispute wiht ICICI credit card division, they have blocked rs 25000 in my savings account until I settle the dispute.

Now how can one believe saving in these banks when a depatment like credit card (which is more often than not in dispute with customers over over-charging at time) can block ones saving account and that too when dicesion on who is at fault isn't declared

If credit card agencies are capturing customer details without their consent, selling credit cards with some fake committments and putting extra charges in bills at times, I think its illegal on their behalf to capture somebody's saving account when their modus-operandi isn't considered legal!!

I want some action to be taken against ICICI saving department for allowing credit division to interfere in their arena... or else it is shocking now as some other day any other agency (who seem to having dispute with customer) will start capturing customers saving account by tipping off banks like ICICI
