Sir,

I had been offerred an ICICI credit card No.4477 4621 7747 3004 in April. I used the card for purchase of Airtickets and paid the amount in 3 EMIs after talking to customer care where they said for three EMIs there will be interest and only processing fee had to be paid. After paying the EMIs, ICICI had send another card bearing no. 5176 5371 0168 8008 on appreciation. We had bought an handicam using the 3004 card and talked to customer care for EMIs and they said that for 9 EMIs there will be no interest only processing fee should be paid. Accordingly, we had paid processing fee and 9 EMIs and got completed. Now they are sending every month statement of about Rs.9, 000 (approx) and every month increased by Rs. 1000/-saying that we had paid one cheque late for which late fee of Rs.600 and on that the interest amounts is being around Rs.12, 990/-. If the cheque has been deposited late, is the late fee Rs. 600/- will be charged and on that an interest almost 25 times the amount of late fee. Is this the interest a bank takes from a customer. The same is the case with another card i.e. XXXX 8008 where there is no late fee also. So do kindly take the necessary steps and look into the matter. Its really an harassment. Whenever we talk to the customer care, they agree that it is wrong but nothing has been done till date.
