Accept Health premium for cancelling credit card

Hi... I have taken an ICICI future credit card. After 1 month when i used it at a retail store, it says "CARD INVALID".
I called up to customer care regarding this, and they suggested me to do a Balance Inquiry on any ATM machine so that they can verify their logs. I did nothing, but i got a Call after 1 week saying that "Sorry sir, your card is not activated; this is a mistake at our end. Can we activate it now". I was no more in the mood of continuing the credit card and asked them to cancel the card. This is what they said "Sir, we don’t have the authority to cancel this card, you need to accept a Health insurance premium first, once you accept this premium then we get the authority to cancel this card". i inquired if there were any charges and they replied there will be no charges. once i accept the premium card would be cancelled.
First they transferred the call to ICICI Lombard department (Chennai). Credit card Dept. prepared me with the questions that ICICI Lombard department will ask and i need to accept all the conditions. I simply said yes to all they said (This is the big mistake i did). After 10/15 min after the acceptance call, ICICI credit card department called me and said that the card would be cancelled and asked me to ignore any mobile/email alerts i receive. Next month i received a SMS saying dues on my credit card. i ignored it as suggested. I got a Call after 3 months from Credit card department asking me to clear dues. I explained the Whole story of cheating me. They are questioning me back how i trusted a fake call and said there are no details of any call made from Customer care to my mobile on the date i mentioned and told me to sort this with Lombard dept. I called Lombard dept. and they say that, "Sir, you accepted all the terms in the call". you should have asked us in the call that, "Is this a mandate to accept a Health premium for cancelling Credit card". i spent 2 to 3 days calling both ICICI Credit card and Lombard dept and finally ended with paying my dues (a mobile bill of 100/- plus) as cancelling the policy would charge 50% of total premium...(2700/-)
THESE GUYS ARE CHEATERS!!! This happened even to one of my friend... please be cautious!!!
