Charging fees on dormant acct

I am too having same issue. My account is dormant for past 3 years. And now they want 5400 Rs.

We should take this to consumer court. My mobile number is 9886453658.

1) ICICI bank is fooling customoer in name of 'Savings account' . It seems they have another account which they call 'No frill Accout' wherein there are no charges. As per traditional bank terminology people opt for 'Savings Account' and are mislead.

2) Penalty of 750 Rs, per quater is too much. When people are maintaining balance of 30K. How they can expect people to pay this, that too recursively. They contact customer for renewal of cards, offering cards etc. But NO NOTICE is sent for inactive account apart from usual statements.

3) Since they are refusing to return the money to us (which obviously will be less then minimum balance 5K), we should file a case against them in the court.

Penalty if there can be one time only and once account is deactivated it cannot continue. So they should close account and return balance to us.
