ICICI Bank Credit Card
Miscellanous Penality even after payment

Dear Sir/ Madam

With all due respect I would like to inform you that I am a holder of ICICI Bank Credit Card vide card no 377041427761001. I have been paying the minimum interest and all other charges on time to the Bank.

This last month the amount due 3770 and by Mistake I paid 3500..

Over a balance of 270 they have charged me a fine of INR 600.00

I paid INR 3500 on 4th June and the moment I got a call that I have paid INR 270 less I immediately made a payment of another INR 1000 on 11th June.

I want to ask is this legal for them to charge me this heavy penalty for just a minor calculation/ number mistake.
