ICICI bank - Credit card
Limit Reduction by more than 50%

Dear concerned/ all,

I have a credit card from ICICI Bank which is being used by me for over three years now. My payments have been quite regular and I have never defaluted on any dues. In fact, off late i have been making the payments much ahead of the sur data. My limit on the card used to be Rs 77, 000 till a week back. This is despite the fact that I have a card from another bank (on the very same credentials) with a credit limit of more than Rs. 1 Lac. I got a funny message from ICICI Bank last week, stating that the credit limit has been lowered to Rs 32, 000 due to change in bank policies. I feel duped as this limit will hardly serve the purpose. I feel like a moron to have used the card all this while and to have behaved like a loyal customer despite a credit limit which was not so good anyways.

I know that a credit card has an unsecured position for the bank, but the least I expect them to do is to check people's records before such cuts. The people at the call centers are least informed about the facts and you feel so helpless. I wanted to book train tickets and might have already lost on some seats. Anyways, though I have asked the call center people to cancel my card, I still feel that this is deprivation of facilities.
